Our story
MaxTurismo Argentina was born from a deep connection to Northern Patagonia and a simple conviction: a journey is built on the ground, as close as possible to the land, with people who know their region by heart.
The agency opens its doors in February 2006 in San Carlos de Bariloche, the capital of the lakes region, where Pierre, one of the co-founders, fell in love with Patagonia. It thus extends the adventure of the Terra group, founded in 1998 in Bolivia and gradually expanded throughout Latin America. Over the years, the team has expanded across the entire country and beyond, with offices in Buenos Aires, Salta, El Calafate and Ushuaia, and cross-border itineraries to Chile.
Around Pierre, the team has grown through meaningful encounters. Virginie has represented the agency in Buenos Aires since 2011. Emilie fell under the spell of the southern lands during a year of studies in Argentina and never truly left. Carlos, originally Swiss, has been based in the country since 2014. Antoine and Jacquie complete this English-speaking core team that designs each trip to suit individual needs, in small groups or around specific themes — culture, nature, encounters, adventure.

Yes, 7 days a week throughout your stay. You'll receive a local WhatsApp number + a dedicated emergency contact. Our on-site team can assist within hours in case of unexpected events (cancelled flight, illness, weather changes).
